Designed by a California based company, Align Technology, Inc. Invisalign is a revolutionary orthodontic procedure that allows patients to get their teeth aligned without any hassle. They are clear and removable which means you don’t have to deal with metal wires in your mouth! Being completely transparent, these aligners provide a great way for adults who want to get their teeth straightened without using traditional metal braces.

How Does Invisalign Work?

Taking a modern approach to straightening teeth, Invisalign involves using a custom-made series of aligners designed distinctively for you. Wearing these aligners will gently shift your teeth into place, involving the series of movements your dentist plans for you. Made out of comfortable and practically invisible plastic, these invisible braces are becoming increasingly popular among teenagers and adults. There are no metal wires to tighten. All you need to do is replace the Invisalign tray with a new one every two weeks and continue the treatment as explained by your orthodontist.

Why Not Braces?

There are numerous options out there but none other orthodontic procedure provides the level of comfort and ease when it comes to aligning your teeth. Some people never get to straighten out their teeth because; as they grow old they are afraid of how the braces might make them look.

Invisalign Is:

  • Practically invisible
  • Soft edges and comfortable
  • They can be removed easily whenever needed
  • No limitations to any sort of food
  • Require wires and brackets
  • Wires can cause irritation and pain
  • They require brushing, flossing and extensive maintenance
  • A lot of food related restrictions

Invisalign for Adults

If you are considering getting your teeth straightened out, you’ve probably wanted that for a while now but at this point in life metal braces might not really be a suitable option. Why? It’s the metal wires and brackets that make you uncomfortable. People with metal braces are more likely to be self-conscious and nervous about their appearance. These aligners are clear and invisible; in fact you will be surprised to see that people hardly notice them. The absence of wires means that you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want. Your oral hygiene is not disturbed either as you can remove the aligners when you need to brush or floss and simply place them back. Whether you are at the movies, craving that bucket of popcorn, or you feel like munching some candies, these aligners give you the freedom to do so. You can simply take them off, eat whatever you want and put them back on (after brushing your teeth). Whether you are taking a picture with your friends, playing your favorite sport or your favorite musical instrument, a mouthful of metal can prevent you from doing a lot of these things. On the contrary, Invisalign does not interfere with your lifestyle. BY using these invisible aligners, you can smile openly without feeling self conscious! So happy teeth straightening!
